THE ALPINIST: This particular PROSPEX is also part of the SEIKO automatic range. Known by SEIKO fans as ‘The Alpinist’ this time piece really highlights attention to detail. Seiko introduced the ALPINIST in 1961, designed to be reliable timepiece for mountain climbers and other sports enthusiasts. They have a relatively small size, brushed finishes and field watch designs.
This particular watch features a cream toned dial with an internal, rotating, compass bezel. The watch also features gold toned, lumibrite luminescent hands, and gold toned markers as well as a date window with a cyclops magnifier on the sapphire crystal glass. The case of the watch is brushed stainless-steel and measures 39.5mm with an exhibition case back. The look of the watch is finished off with a green leather band.
