ARNIE GEN 2- Nicknamed by Seiko fans as the ‘ARNIE’ this watch got its nickname because a particular model was worn by actor Arnold Schwarzenegger in some 1980’s classic action movies. The ‘Arnie’s’ were SEIKO’s first dive watches with a digital display. The GEN 2 has an upgraded solar powered movement with a larger display at the 6oçlock position. It also features a diving log, depth gauge and temperature measuring functions. PADI- A few months after SEIKO’s first divers watch appeared, two American dive enthusiasts decided that standards of training in diving needed to be raised ad they founded the Professional Association PADI- In 1966 when two American dive enthusiasts decided that the safety of diving training and standards needed to improve, they created the Professional Association of Diving Instructors. For over the last 50 years PADI has become the worlds most trusted diving organisation. Together SEIKO and PADI share a passion for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of divers and for protection of the marine environment.
This watch features a flat black dial with a globe pattern in the dial. The dial has both digital display and analogue, silver toned, hands and markers that have LumiBrite, luminescence. The stainless-steel case of the watch is 46.9mm and includes a black plastic outer shroud. The look of the watch is finished off with a black silicone band.
