KING SUMO- These watches are nicknamed by SEIKO fans as the ‘SUMO’. notable features in their design are the larger shaped bezel which is inset into a broader case. This look sits in contrast with the relatively narrow 20mm band. It is also said that the marker at 12o’clock loosely represents the ‘Mawashi’ the underwear worn by Japanese sumo wrestlers during a match. The sumo tends to be a heavy-duty watch and is ill-suited for someone with smaller wrists.
This watch has a gradient blue fade dial with a double wave pattern. It features LumiBrite, luminescent hands and markers as well as a date window, all protected by sapphire crystal glass. The case of the watch is stainless-steel with a ceramic bezel insert and measures 45mm case width. The look of the watch is finished off with a matching stainless-steel band.
