SUMO- These watches are nicknamed by SEIKO fans as the ‘SUMO’ notable features in their design are the larger shaped bezel with is inset into a broader case. This look sits in contrast with the relatively narrow 20mm band. It is also said that the marker at 12o’clock loosely represents the ‘Mawashi’ the underwear worn by Japanese sumo wrestlers during a match. The sumo tends to be a heavy-duty watch and is ill-suited for someone with smaller wrists.
This watch features a textured metallic green dial with silver toned hands and markers with LumiBrite luminescence. The dial of this watch also features an orange toned G.M.T hand as well as a date window, all protected by sapphire crystal glass. The case of the watch is 45mm and is made from stainless-steel as is the matching band.
