PHOTON: With a design Inspired by the double-slit experiment in physics, featuring a complex, multi-layered dial that intuitively expresses the transmission of light. Two metal plates with ripple-like slits are layered over a structural color film, creating vibrant, shifting hues produced by microscopic surface structures rather than pigments. This model is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Citizen's use of it's innovative ECO-DRIVE light-powered movements.
This limited edition watch features a multi layered black and blue dial with slits allowing the light through the central structural layer to the cells below. The dial features luminescent hands and hour markers as well as a yellow toned second hand, all protected by sapphire crystal glass. The octagonal shaped case measures 39.6mm wide and 9.9mm thick with the limited edition number out of 5000 engraved on the case back. The case and band are made from super titanium.
